Synopsis
During the Korean War, Joe Moran, is convicted for striking a colonel. Imprisoned in Germany he encounters his former company commander Captain Ross, jailed for black marketeering. Together with Ross' cohorts Joe agrees to escape with them, but things go wrong and a policeman is killed. An appalled Joe escapes by himself, abandoning the others, who are recaptured. Years later Joe has a boat rental business where he is found by Ross. Now a wanted drug smuggler he wants the use of Joe's boats and…

Keep an open mind that this is an older movie where the big draw was supposed to be Charles Bronson, who I will admit doesn't do a very good acting job either. There are definitely misfires in the directing and editing as well, but overall it has a simplistic plot that was never meant to be believable (I hope not anyway), and even the cheeky ending is just a little too cheeky. It makes me wonder if this film was intended to draw a more international crowd based off of Bronson's screen presence alone. However, if you are a fan of the typical "action" movies of this period, it still does enough…

I'm not sure why there is criticism like there is, here. Apparently, the critics don't drive, much, or know little about vehicles of the '70's. That sedan was handling pretty well in the cop chase. No big surprise, given Bronson's skills. Great movie.

Watching Charles Bronson go through his surprise measured moves to overcome all who would defeat him is predictable. What is funny is hearing James Mason do a southern accent, and watch Jill Ireland (who in real life married Bronson) play a hippie. It is hard to fathom Liv Ulman playing Bronson's wife. Interesting casting. Worth viewing just to get a feel how Bronson became a worldwide superstar in the '70's.
