Synopsis

George, I last saw this movie when I was 8 years old in the theater with my buddies. Great to see this classic in color. Keep em coming, you do a fabulous job. The video is so clean and clear a real pleasure to my eyes. I feel like a kid again. Being an old Air Force guy, I enjoyed seeing the jets from the 1950s era.

And yet another classic film of the 50's. It is my 1rst time watching it in color....as well with another video of yours 'Tarantula' (1955). Well done Mr. Fergus.

Lots of the movie is stock footage from the military, lots, even dubbed stock footage. Even the Eskimos scenes were lifted from a Russian movie. There's some stock footage and references to The Ground Observer Corps, a citizens volunteer group the government sponsored that kept watch looking at the sky for Soviet aircraft , coincidentally the Mantis comes from the same area of what was believed would be where a Soviet attack would originate and it even goes straight to Washington DC - a commie giant insect.. Cheap, corny, derivative, but a monster Mantis puppet was pretty cool. And scenes…
