Synopsis
An old rancher's property sites smack-dab on the site where a new highway is to be built, although he doesn't know it. Someone else does, however, and is determined to force the old man off his property in order to get the ranch for himself. The rancher's foster son returns home to help the old man keep his property and find out who is behind the scheme to take it from him.

Entertaining. Gene Austin is not only a decent actor, but I like his songs too. I usually don't write much detail in my reviews (I guess I wouldn't make a good movie critic), but after Pop gets shot at and is found by Gene, a small part of the film got chopped which makes the viewer think Pop died, however, the viewer shortly gets back into full knowledge of what's going on.

"My Blue Heaven," crooner Gene Austin turned Western star by the Alexander brothers. Songs and Saddles, was then road-shown on a personal appearance tour throughout the South. Austin was able to stay in the saddle long enough to warble "I'm Coming Home" and "Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Man from Texas," to romance leading lady Lynne Barkeley. Austin comes to the aid of an rancher, "Pop" Turner (Walter Wills), who is about to be out of his property by an realtor (Karl Hackett) and a contractor(Charles King).
