Tomorrow's Youth (1934)

The title does not match the contents. It's not about "the youth of tomorrow", it's about one small boy whose father doesn't seem quite man enough to kick the other woman out of his life. And for the life of me, I don't know what he saw in her that he should do that to his wife and his son. There are cute aspects of the movie without being maudlin.

Lamont was a great comedic director, Frances the talking mule, Ma and Pa Kettle, Abbott and Costello, and many many more. He should have stayed away from anything semi-serious, like this movie. What does the title mean? Did he think this is where youth is headed? Then he had no idea about the drug culture or the rise of gangs. If youth had turned out like this cute little tyke we'd all be better off.

He was a twirp from the get go..He acted like the kid was a dog that needed trained to not crap on the floor, but the 'other woman' was in it for herself only.. Mom should have put her foot down immediately and told dad if he even thinks about cheating on her it'll be curtains then and there.. The heck with separation! To bad these movies almost always have the Pollyanna ending with mummy and daddy getting back together and live happily ever after like in the fairy tails.. Sounds all peachy creamy, but almost never works that way. Once i stop trusting someone I never head back hoping for…
