Synopsis

Well, the bad news first - there is a good deal of very socially incorrect whites in blackface going on here. No, it was not considered offensive at the time - nevertheless, you've got four men in blackface, with southern black speech patterns - like the original Amos & Andy white duo - telling jokes and singing, harmonizing, and playing some old minstrel show type of song. Worst of all they are fronted by James Newill, who plays a Texas Ranger and is one of the stars of the film.
