Cary Grant would have turned this little comedy into a smash hit. The supporting cast is good enough and so is the screenplay. Oh well, so we have to settle for Neil Hamilton, a good enough actor in certain roles, but he is barely adequate in this one. Hamilton plays an otherwise ordinary guy who habitually lies his way out of minor troubles. Things get out of hand, when as a result three different women think they are engaged to him. This is a very cute film and worth watching. Neil Hamilton is totally wrong in this film. Carey Grant would have pulled it off, but I believe a much younger actor would have been better in the part (or maybe Jack Benny could have done it for high comedy).
